
Monique Coleman
Monique Coleman is an actress best known for the High School Musical franchise.
Coleman’s passion for acting began at a young age when she trained at the Workshop Theater School of Dramatic Arts. In the program, she performed in more than 15 plays. Coleman continued to perfect her craft as she earned a BFA in acting from DePaul University in Chicago.
In 1995, Coleman made her TV debut in Mother of the River. She would go on to land guest roles on a variety of series including Boston Public, Gilmore Girls, Malcolm in the Middle, Strong Medicine, Veronica Mars and more.
After graduating from college, Coleman landed her breakout role as Taylor McKessie in High School Musical. She continued to play the character in all four of the Disney Channel Original Movie sequels and made a cameo in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.
Following the success of the first High School Musical, she competed on Dancing With the Stars season 3 where she came in fourth place. Coleman also appeared in several Lifetime and Hallmark movies.
In her personal life, Coleman was married to Walter Jordan from 2012 to 2022.
