Next steps! Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor may be busy planning a summer 2019 wedding, but they already have babies on the brain.
“I’m definitely eager to have kids and Jax is eager to have kids,” the bride-to-be, 30, told Us Weekly exclusively on Thursday, April 4, at ShoeDazzle and JustFab’s Desert Oasis as they enjoyed getting festival ready with pieces from the brands, as well as Rad + Refined sunglasses and hair clips. “He’ll be 40 two weeks after [the wedding]. I’m 30, we’re ready. We’re buying a house.”
The Vanderpump Rules star added: “When it happens it happens. We’re not going to be very careful. We’re gonna let it come with God’s grace, and he’ll give us a baby when it’s ready.”
Her fiancé, 39, though, wants to start trying for children “the night of” their wedding.
“We’ve been together for four years and my whole life has been a party, so I’ve done everything I wanted to do,” the reality star told Us. “I’m ready for the next step. I’m ready to have kids. I’m ready to be part of the PTA, soccer dad, soccer mom, gymnastics coach, whatever. That’s my next job.”
While Cartwright wants to have three, Taylor is leaning towards two, but admitted, “Whatever God gives me, I’m OK with.”
In June 2018, the groom-to-be proposed to his then-girlfriend with a 3-carat diamond ring at a Malibu’s Neptune Net restaurant, a spot Jax told Us that his late father “really, really loved.”
“I thought I would do it there just because it meant so much to me and my father and us,” he said at the time. “It had a lot of meaning all around.”
