Tristan Thompson has two things on his mind: fatherhood and money.
The Cleveland Cavaliers center, 27, told reporters that he thought about his son, Prince, 16 months, and newborn daughter, True, when his coach Tyronn Lue threatened his teammates with $100 fines if they fell for Toronto Raptors shooting guard’s DeMar DeRozan’s pump fakes.
“We have to [stay down] because if we jump and he gets a foul, it’s $100,” Thompson said with a laugh (via Cavs.com) after the Cavaliers played the Raptors at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto on Tuesday, May 1. “I just had kids, so I’m trying to save up for their college tuitions.”
The NBA star shares Prince with his ex Jordan Craig. He welcomed True with girlfriend Khloé Kardashian on April 12, two days after he was caught on video kissing multiple other women. A source told Us Weekly at the time that Thompson was in the delivery room for the birth of his daughter, as were Khloé’s mother, Kris Jenner, and sisters Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian.
Us later confirmed that Thompson had been unfaithful to the then-pregnant Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, 33, since at least November. One of his mistresses, a woman named Tania, even traveled to cities including Boston and New York City to meet up with him.
“If there wasn’t a child involved, Khloé would have kicked Tristan to the curb,” a source told Us exclusively in April. “She’s not ready to make a decision. Seeing him with their daughter only complicates thing.”
Though Khloé has not publicly commented on the scandal, Kim, 37, shared her take on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday, April 30. “Poor Khloé,” she said. “Like, I don’t even know how to describe it besides it’s just so f–ked up.”
