An emotional reflection. Kim Kardashian posted a throwback photo of herself wearing a diamond necklace that was nearly stolen from her when she was robbed in Paris more than two years ago.

“So this necklace that I have on is a diamond cross from Jacob and it was the first piece of jewelry that I bought when I got my first check,” the 38-year-old reality star captioned the pic of herself leaving a store in 2007. “When I was at robbedd [sic] this was taken from me. However on the way out the robbers dropped one piece of jewelry in the street and this was it. It’s very sentimental to me. Just wanted to share ✨.”

The KKW Beauty creator was gagged and robbed at gunpoint in her Paris hotel in October 2016. The thieves stole more than $10 million in jewelry from Kim, who was in town for Paris Fashion Week. (It’s unclear if the Selfish author is planning to attend Paris Fashion Week in 2019, which kicks off on February 25.) Ten people have been charged following the heist, and multiple arrests have been made.

Khloé Kardashian was quick to send her sister support in the comments section on Monday, writing, “You are very sentimental to me! Same with the juicy sweats. Same to the Chanel bag. Same same same! Icon Kim K.”

Kourtney Kardashian added, “You have angels protecting you.”

Nearly two years after the robbery, Kim returned to Paris for the first time with her husband, Kanye West, in June 2018. The couple were in town to support the rapper’s friend Virgil Abloh’s first collection for Louis Vuitton at the spring/summer 2019 menswear fashion show.

“Thank you Paris for the emotional trip back!” the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star tweeted at the time. “I couldn’t have come for a better reason….off to Teyana’s listening party in LA now! 2 major experiences in 2 countries all in the same day!”

Kim spoke candidly about the robbery during the Variety/Rolling Stone’s Criminal Justice Reform Summit in November 2018.

“I felt like taking myself out of being the victim myself. I never have a victim mentality. I’m not saying that if that’s how you cope, that’s not appropriate. I’m just saying for me personally, I have never taken that on,” she said. “I just try to really genuinely learn. And I feel like the way I was living my lifestyle, not that anyone should go through that, but, like, I learned so much from it that I’m OK with my experience. And I do believe it was meant to happen to me. I am a different person because of it.”

She added: “I think when your life is at stake over material items. All of that stuff goes out the door. None of it matters. My priorities completely changed. What’s important to me changes, my whole life changed. I’m a better mom because of it. The things I will teach my kids.”

Kim and West are parents of daughters North, 5, and Chicago, 12 months, and 3-year-old son Saint. Us Weekly broke the news last month that the duo are expecting their fourth child, a baby boy, via surrogate. Kim confirmed the news during a January 14 appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.
