On the heels of celebrating her milestone 40th birthday, Lindsay Lohan has “big goals” in mind for the rest of the decade.
“[I want to continue] to be the best mom I can be, the best wife I can be, the best daughter, sister I can be, woman and entrepreneur, businesswoman [and] actress I can be,” Lohan, 40, exclusively told Us on Monday, July 27, while promoting her partnership with Reese’s Oreo. “Just being my best self is always a goal to me, and always elevating myself and challenging myself in the right ways.”
Lohan further teased that she is also “working very hard” on a yet-to-be released project with her husband, Bader Shammas. (Lohan and Shammas have been married since 2022, one year before welcoming son Luai.)
“We’re building something right now, and it’s very exciting,” she teased to Us. “And so, yeah, just putting my 100 [percent] into everything that I do, and love in life is my main goal.”
In addition to focusing on her thriving Hollywood career, Lohan is a proud mom to 3-year-old Luai.
“[I love to do] anything he wants to do — like, today, we played dentist and doctor,” the actress said of her only child. “I get him these dentist things [so] that he’s not afraid to go to the dentist … and not afraid of [the] doctor. So, he plays being the doctor and, when he does these little things, and he goes, ‘OK, it’s this time. Open the mouth.’ It’s just the sweetest thing because everything’s so pure, and it’s just anything and everything he wants to do is my favorite thing to do.”
Lohan has also started showing Luai “bits and pieces” of 1998’s The Parent Trap, in which she played 11-year-old twins Annie and Hallie.

“He can’t sit through a whole movie yet. The only movie he can sit through is Spider-Man,” Lohan quipped. “That’s a fun one. Any of the Marvel characters beat me. I really want to do something that he will think is cool. Like, I think the only thing I have that he’d be interested in would be Herbie [Fully Loaded] right now. … I need to be a Marvel character or something to be a cool mom in his eyes!”
Once Luai finally is old enough to understand Lohan’s cool mom status, he also will be able to check out her latest commercial opposite Amy Sedaris and directed by Patricia Arquette for Reese’s Oreo.
“It’s such an iconic combo; people love Oreos and peanut butter, and to do something like this together, to make it in one and have one product for it, I think is just genius,” Lohan told Us. “It’s much more accessible and easy for people to get, and it tastes really yummy and sweet and savory, and it was just really exciting to to bring it all together, and then to have Patricia and Amy come on was just a no-brainer.”
While filming the sweet ad, Lohan had a blast under the direction of Arquette, 58.
“She’s great. I loved working with her,” she gushed on Monday. “She’s so carefree, and she was so fun and welcoming. It was just a great, wonderful experience. She’s amazing, and she has such an eye for little moments — like, if there’s something else that I could do, she comes and tells me. I love when directors do that.”
