Laughter over Leo! Several Sports Illustrated Swimsuit models — including Chrissy Teigen, Nina Agdal, Gigi Hadid, and Lily Aldridge — were asked this week by Cosmopolitan.com about notorious modelizer Leonardo DiCaprio, and their responses were none-too-surprising.
Portugese model Sara Sampaio told the site that she’s been out with the Oscar-nominated actor “a lot of times” in the NYC party circuit, but he’s never hit on her, either. “No,” the brunette stunner confessed. “He likes blondes.”
However, blonde 2014 SI Swimsuit cover girl Nina Agdal countered Sampaio’s point and claimed newly-single DiCaprio has never hit on her. “Of course I’ve met him, but Leonardo just goes out with the same group of people as everybody,” Agdal noted. “He’s a nice guy, but no.”
Another model who’s familiar with DiCaprio is Lily Aldridge, who simply laughed when she was asked the question. “Um….” the 2014 cover girl said, shaking her head for no comment.
Aldridge, however, was the connector between DiCaprio and Gigi Hadid. “He’s actually friends with Lily,” Yolanda Foster‘s daughter told Cosmo. “They’ve been friends for a while, so I’ve seen him at one of her parties. But he’s always been really nice. He does have a lot of models around; I’m not one of them [laughs].”
Hadid — along with Ashely Smith and Solveig Mork Hansen — also confirmed that models do, in fact, discuss the Wolf of Wall Street actor.
“I’ve never met him, but I have a friend who got invited to dinner with him,” Hansen dished. “But, you know, whatever. It’s kind of the group you interact with, people that you meet at parties, so that would be only natural.”
Smith, meanwhile, had one great memory of the hunk while attending the Cannes Film Festival in France. “I saw him at a party. And he literally showed up, like, the most dressed down. He was in a baseball cap,” she recalled. “Everyone else was in tuxedos, he came in a baseball cap, he was there for five minutes, found a girl, and left. You go, Leonardo! I wanted to give him a high five, but I didn’t know him, so I didn’t.” She added of the model: “She was hot.”
Most likely to overlap circles with DiCaprio, Chrissy Teigen surprisingly said that’s not the case.
“I have never run into him,” John Legend‘s wife shared. “And I’m almost offended [laughs]. No, actually I’ve never seen him out. Everyone talks about him and models, and the thing is, in this industry, that’s kind of who you’re around the most. John and I used to joke about it many years ago when we first met. I mean, we always wondered why models are with musicians. You kind of date your coworkers, and in a way, we were coworkers. Yeah, I never thought anything of that stuff. Good for all of them. Good for the girls, good for Leo.”
