On their side. As Kanye West continues to voice his displeasure with Kim Kardashian dating Pete Davidson, some celebrities have chosen to stand by the couple. Earlier this month, West made headlines when he released a music video for his song "Eazy," which included scenes of him kidnapping and beheading his estranged wife's new man. The video's lyrics read, “God saved me from that crash, just so I could beat Pete Davidson’s ass.” In response, director James Gunn took to social media to call out the behavior, tweeting, "For the record, Pete Davidson is one of the nicest, sweetest guys I know. A truly generous, tender & funny spirit, he treats everyone around him with respect." The reality star, who has stayed mostly mum about West's comments toward Davidson, showed her support by "liking" the tweet. Kardashian and Davidson originally met when she hosted an episode of Saturday Night Live in October 2021. After they sparked romance rumors that same month, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that the comedian waited until they were done working together to make a move. "He was a true professional the whole time they rehearsed and in between takes, but afterward things got flirty," the insider revealed in November 2021. "They exchanged numbers and Pete asked if Kim would like to hang out sometime, which she agreed to straight away." As the pair continued to spend time together, West made it clear that he wasn't thrilled with Kardashian's choice. The Yeezy designer previously stated that the New York native would “never” meet his children. The rapper also shared an alleged text message from the Skims founder. "U are creating a dangerous and scary environment and someone will hurt Pete and this will all be your fault," one message from the California native read in February. "I will always do everything to protect you and our family forever. And I listened to you and told everyone to make sure nothing physical happens to Skete." West later apologized for sharing personal matters online, writing via Instagram, "I've learned that using all caps makes people feel like I'm screaming at them. I'm working on my communication. "I can benefit from a team of creative professionals, organizers, mobilizers and community leaders. Thank everybody for supporting me." He continued: "I know sharing screen shots was jarring and came off as harassing Kim. I take accountability. I'm still learning in real time. I don't have all the answers. To be good leader is to be a good listener." As West continued to call out Davidson, a second source told Us that the couple were choosing to stay "far away" from West. "He's not afraid of him — he just doesn't want to get involved in the divorce drama," the insider shared. It comes as no surprise that Davidson’s bestie MGK is “totally” there for him amid the drama. "We love everybody, man. We have so much love. It's almost like, if we need to be the vessels for people's anger, so be it,” the Mainstream Sellout artist told Howard Stern in March 2022. “That must be why we're here. I do hope that they can feel our spirit and see that we love you."

The Daily Show alum came to Davidson’s defense on a March 2022 episode of “The Howard Stern Show.”

“He’s just a f--king smart, funny kid trying to live his life,” Stewart said of the fellow comedian, who he referred to as “one of my favorite people.” He added: “I think he's doing as best you can in that situation when you're dealing with something that's so explosive and loaded with all kinds of other things. I just love that kid."

“The point is Kim Kardashian and countless other women, they find themselves in a terrible position,” the host said during the Daily Show in March 2022. “Because asking Kanye to stop clearly isn’t helping but at the same time he hasn’t broken any laws, so can she get him arrested? No, I don’t think so."

The South Africa native added: "Would she even want to? I mean, she spends half her time helping Black people come out of jail so now she can’t throw Kanye West in. That’s a bit of a paradox. But still, she’s being harassed.”

The fellow comedian — who costarred in The King of Staten Island with Davidson — stood up for his pal via his Instagram Story in March 2022. “PD is my brother, none of this is funny to me nor entertaining,” Velez wrote. “A 44 year old [sic] man internet thugging is just sad.”

Gene Simmons

The Kiss rocker advised "cool guy" Davidson to "ignore" the Chicago native's criticism during a March 2022 interview with TMZ. "Get a hobby. That's better. Leave them alone, move on," Simmons added of West. "Love your kids. Love the mother of your kids and let her make her own decisions. She's a grown-ass woman now and she doesn't need your permission." The Rock School alum also said it's "possible" that the "Heartless" singer needs "a good bitch slap."

In response to Gunn's commentary, Cuoco replied "facts" and included a red heart emoji. 

The Big Bang Theory alum previously worked with Davidson on the movie Meet Cute. At the time, an insider noted that the costars "bonded" during their time on set. "They're very supportive of each other and there's no doubt they've been staying in touch post-filming," the source shared in September 2021.

During an interview, Hughley called out society for laughing off the way West speaks about Kardashian's relationship with Davidson.

“It's not funny. It's never been funny. I think I have watched too many times when things like that happen. And a woman or somebody is not believed and then things escalate," the radio personality explained in the viral video in March 2022. "He is stalking her. You can think it’s cute.
