The American Idol vet guest-hosted Live several times during the show’s search to find a new cohost after Strahan blindsided Ripa and left the show for a for full-time gig at Good Morning America.

Anna Faris and Chris Pratt announced their separation in a joint statement on August 6. The couple, who are both asking for joint custody of their 5-year-old son Jack, made it official in December when they both filed for divorce.

Beyoncé announced on February 1 via Instagram that she's pregnant and expecting twins with her husband, Jay-Z.

Bachelor Nation was shocked when Arie Luyendyk Jr. was announced as the season 22 Bachelor during Good Morning America on September 7. Luyendyk Jr., who was the runner-up on Emily Maynard’s season 8 of The Bachelorette in 2012, was chosen over the season 13 runner-up and fan-favorite Peter Kraus.
“It sunk in just now for sure of the it’s been a little surreal,” the race car driver said on GMA. “I was a little skeptical just because we had been in talks for a few years about doing it so I just kind of went in with an open heart and just kind of hit me right now I’m here.”

Everyone at home (and in the audience … looking at you, Busy Philipps!) was shocked and confused when Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway mistakenly announced La La Land as the Best Picture winner over the actual victor, Moonlight, at the 2017 Oscars.
Beatty tried to explain the flub while the cast and crew of Moonlight took the stage. “I opened the envelope, and it said ‘Emma Stone, La La Land.’ That’s why I took such a long look at Faye and at you — I wasn’t trying to be funny,” he said at the time.

Royal wedding bells are ringing! Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their engagement on November 27, and rocked Us all when they confirmed their wedding date shortly after. The couple are set to tie the knot on May 19, 2018, at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in England.
