Bachelor’s Sarah Trott: 5 Things to Know About Matt James’ Season 25 Contestant

The future Mrs. James? Sarah Trott is one of the women competing for Matt James’ heart on season 25 of The Bachelor. “Really impressive woman, great career in broadcasting, comes from a tight-knit family,” Chris Harrison teased about Sarah, 24, last month, noting that the California native “hits it off really well with Matt, right away.” Harrison added that Sarah “catches very strong feelings” for Matt “early” in the season but warned that their relationship may not last. “Sometimes … those that get that early attention, those that have that really initial, bright spark, it’s hard to continue that because obviously the Bachelor/Bachelorette then has to go elsewhere,” he said. “They have to compartmentalize these relationships and that makes it really tough when you have that initial burst of energy. Matt, for his part, told Us Weekly ahead of the premiere that he feels “undeserving” of his contestants. “It’s just such a great group of women, like, women that you would never think would be single. 1. She Quit Her Job to Be There for Her Dad

Sarah worked as a broadcast journalist before she moved home to help take care of her father, who is battling ALS or Lou Gehrig's Disease.

She is currently signed to Otto Models and launched a podcast and blog titled "From Here to Where."

"I struggled to find other young women going through similar difficulties," she wrote on her website. "I couldn't find many obvious resources or people my age who could relate to the issues I was going through."

5. What Sarah’s Looking for in a Man

According to Sarah’s bio, she’s been in two serious relationships in the past. “She is hoping to find a man who prioritizes fitness and a healthy lifestyle just as much as she does and wants someone who will turn every day into an adventure better than the last,” the bio reads.

Like Matt, the San Diego resident is religious. “One thing that is very important to Sarah is finding a man whose commitment to faith is as strong as hers,” her bio says. “She hopes to one day be in a power couple that when they’re not spending time with their kids, they are doing work for the community and giving back to children in need.”
