Everything Chrishell Stause Said About Justin Hartley — and His Wife Sofia Pernas — During ‘Selling Sunset’ Season 4

Finally finding her closure. Chrishell Stause was in a great place when season 4 of Selling Sunset began filming — a very different story line that season 3 captured. In November 2019, Justin Hartley filed for divorce from Chrishell — something she claimed during the Netflix series she found out over text message. After more than a year of back and forth, the pair settled their divorce in January. “Both parties entered into a confidential settlement as to terms of the divorce, including spousal support,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly at the time, with a second noting that the realtor "has moved on with her life." While the All My Children alum, 40, briefly dated Dancing With the Stars pro Keo Motsepe, the pair parted ways in February. Justin, for his part, moved on with soap opera actress Sofia Pernas. Us confirmed that the This Is Us star, 44, married the Blood & Treasure alum, 32, in an intimate ceremony in May 2021. Sofia and Justin worked together for nearly one year on The Young and the Restless in 2015. Chrishell also appeared on the soap opera alongside the duo. [jwplayer zT9zePMF-zhNYySv2] During the new season of Selling Sunset, which dropped on Netflix on Wednesday, November 24, Chrishell explains that she's finally in a great place — so much so that she's not only selling houses, but shopping for one for herself. “This is the first time that I have ever been in a position to be able to buy my own home. Growing up homeless many times, it’s always ingrained in me this fear that maybe I won’t have a roof over my head or maybe things are going to be taken away from me," the Under Construction: Because Living My Best Life Took a Little Work author says during season 4. "So, to do it on my own, I can’t possibly tell you how amazing that feels.” The season also features the DWTS alum dip her toes back into the dating pool, but not finding someone, just yet. However, after filming wrapped, she found love right in front of her. In July, Jason Oppenheim, Chrishell's boss, confirmed that the two had started seeing each other. That relationship will play out in future episodes. Never Been Better

During the second episode, she opened up to Heather Rae Young and Mary Fitzgerald about how she felt after seeing her ex-husband remarry.

"I’ve never been in a better place in my career. I really feel empowered of being a different — a better version of myself than I ever have been. And I feel like I’ve found my voice. There’s no anger left there because now I’ve realized that’s not something I wanted for myself," Chrishell said. "I mean, if he wants to have 50 wives, go live your best life because I really feel like I am. ... Once you know something wasn’t right, whether it was your decision or not, now, you are where you're meant to be."

She added, "Out with the old, in with the new."

Finding Closure After Justin Moved On

“My ex-husband, Justin, is remarried to someone I know from back in the day pretty well," the Days of Our Lives alum said during a confessional. "And a lot of things made sense after finding that out. I wish them the best. I just, you know, it actually if anything, it felt good to know that. It felt like a little bit of closure."

Making a Move

During the third episode, Chrishell shared that she’s moving out of the Valley. “When I was talking about how amazing the Valley was, I did mean it," she said. "That being said, I didn’t want to be bumping into people like my ex, so I came back to my roots, back in the hills.”

Davina's Input

The Kentucky native looked back at the way Davina Potratz acted during her split from Justin during episode five, reminding the agents that Davina kept questioning her at Christine Quinn's wedding, which was shown during the season 3 finale.

“To kick someone when they’re down is just something that you really should never do. Obviously, it was painful at the time," Chrishell shared during her confessional. "A lot of time has gone by. I really don’t hold a grudge but I do hold people accountable. I think there’s a difference." She later told the group, "She was taunting me, trying to get me to talk when I clearly was shutting down and trying to just get through the night.”

What Happened With Christine?

"Christine started these rumors as to why I was really divorced," Chrishell said during the seventh episode. "Rumors that I was, like, sleeping with these people. It’s, like, it's not true. I was madly in love with my husband. I was devastated."

Looking for Something New

During the final episode, Chrishell noted that she has been trying to figure out her type. "I'm not gonna date an actor again or something like that," the former Youthful Daze star told Heather. "I'm at the place where I know anything can happen and sometimes it could come from an unexpected place."
