The Gossip Girl alum stars alongside Anna Kendrick in A Simple Favor, which premieres on Friday, September 14, and her mysterious silver screen persona, Emily, has a penchant for drinking martinis. In fact, her austere character drinks the “exquisitely crafted” beverages throughout the movie.

The martini is so central to the thriller that Lively, 31, even took to Instagram on Tuesday, September 11, to share a brief clip of her character sipping on one in front of a fire while her feet are propped up on the back of a muscular, naked man – kickboxing champ Thomas Canestraro.

However, Emily isn’t drinking just any ordinary martini in the flick. Instead, she’s sipping a Real Aviation Gin Martini, which she even teaches Kendrick’s character’s mother to make in the film. The libation, which is identical to the one served at Dukes Bar in London, is made using Aviation Gin – the spirits company owned by Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds – so it’s no surprise that the actress enjoys the liquor off-screen as well.
