Before Jesse James proclaimed himself "the most hated man in the world," he was the tattooed CEO of West Coast Choppers, a custom motorcycle manufacturer.
Born on April 19, 1969 in Lynwood, Calif., James' shop has made bikes for clientele like Kid Rock, Shaquille O'Neal and Tyson Beckford. In 2003, he hosted the reality show, Monster Garage -- about transforming ordinary vehicles into extraordinary machines. And in 2009, he appeared on the second season of Celebrity Apprentice.
In 2005, James married actress Sandra Bullock. The couple met after she arranged a tour of the Monster Garage set with her godson and began dating shortly after.
But his marriage to the Oscar winning actress wasn't his first -- it was his third. He divorced his first wife, Karla James, in 2002 after almost 10 years together. The couple had two children: a daughter, Chandler, and son, Jesse, Jr. His second wife, adult film star Janine Lindemulder, married in 2002 and share a daughter, Sunny. They divorced in 2004.
In March 2010, stripper Michelle "Bombshell" MCGee claimed she had an affair with James while Bullock was filming The Blind Side. Shortly after, more women came forward claiming affairs. As their relationship began to crumble, it was announced that Bullock and James adopted a son from New Orleans, Louis, in January.
The couple's divorce was finalized in June 2010. James announced his engagement to tattoo artist Kat von D (real name: Katherine von Drachenberg) in January 2011.
