Since 1998, Scarlett Johansson — harnessing a rare combination of sex appeal and genuine acting abilities — has moved to the top of many producers wish lists, and her three Golden Globe nominations have provided her with legitimate "It Girl" status.

After her first role in a skit on Late Night with Conan O'Brien at age 8, Johansson was noticed for her role in 1998's The Horse Whisperer and quickly went on to Golden Globe nominated roles for Lost In Translation, The Girl in the Pearl Earring, and Match Point.

She has modeled for Calvin Klein, Louis Vuitton, and L'Oreal, and in 2007 debuted her line of Reebok athletic shoes. In addition to Black Dahlia, The Prestige, and Nanny Diaries, Johansson was seen on the silver screen in The Other Boleyn Girl with Natalie Portman in 2007. In May 2008, the actress released her first album, Anywhere I Lay My Head, featuring covers of Tom Waits songs.

In September 2008, Johansson married beau Ryan Reynolds. They announced plans to divorce in December 2010. She rebounded with Oscar winner Sean Penn, though they called it quits after five months together.
