Miley Cyrus' dad Billy Ray, 49, has nixed proceedings to end his 17-year marriage with wife, Tish.

On March 11, Cyrus' lawyer Robert L. Jackson filed a "voluntarily dismissal and non-suit," a clerk for the Williamson County Chancery Court in Tennessee tells UsMagaine.com.

Judge James Martin entered the judgment and signed the order to dismiss the divorce that day.

"I've dropped the divorce," Billy Ray said on an episode of The View airing Friday. "I want to put my family back together -- Things are the best they've ever been."

The country singer, who last month expressed concerns about his 18-year-old daughter added: "I feel like I got my Miley back. I feel like we're the daddy and daughter we were before Hannah Montana."

Funny, when celebs file for divorce, people on here so quick to say they don't try to work things out but when a couple decides to work it out, there is still complaining..LOL.

Its cheaper to keep her. Billy doesn't want to have to give Tish half (if not more) of his earnings over the course of 17 years. This story reminds me of Alan Jackson. He too decided it was cheaper to keep her (his wife).

um three of the kids are leagally adults so it doesn't matter. it's harder to keep a marriage together in the limelight it always has been

Jenna, when you have invested that many years of marriage with someone, not to mention when there are children involved, you don't just give up. Marriages and families take work. Just because the Cyrus family is in the limelight, doesn't mean they don't have to work just as hard as everyone else.
