That doesn’t impress her! John Krasinski said that wife Emily Blunt isn’t a fan of his new muscles, which he showed off in a photo shoot for the January/February issue of Men’s Health.
“She hates it,” the 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi star, 36, told Stephen Colbert on The Late Show on Tuesday, January 5. “She would way prefer to have the doughy guy back.”
“‘Doughy’ is a strong word,” Colbert replied — after showing the audience a still of the hunky actor’s shirtless scene in the film.
“No, like sweet-faced,” Krasinski said.
“You’re still sweet-faced,” Colbert joked back.
The Office alum also discussed how inspired he was by Blunt, 32, and her own intense physical training for her roles in Edge of Tomorrow and Sicario.
“I watched her fight train, because we trained out in the same gym,” he said. “And then she did very extreme fight training, and I walked by a door just to be like, ‘Hey! How’s it going?’ And she was punching and elbowing this bag that was starting to open with, like, fluff in it, and all I could think was, ‘Please don’t have a nightmare tonight! Please don’t have a nightmare tonight!'”
The Devil Wears Prada actress and Krasinski tied the knot in 2010.
13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi hits theaters on January 15.
