These Saturday Night Live alumni went on to successful TV and film careers after leaving the popular NBC comedy sketch show
Robert Downey Jr.
Downey was on the show for just one season, from 1985 to 1986, but has worked steadily ever since. In the late 1980s and early to mid-1990s, he appeared in more than two dozen movies and TV shows, including Weird Science and Chaplin. Drugs and legal troubles nearly derailed his career, but he made a comeback in the new millenium with films like Gothika, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Tropic Thunder, and the Iron Man franchise.
