  I use to be an avid Jon &Kate plus 8 fan- never missed an episode. I always wondered why Jon stayed with Kate because she is such a domineering b!tc* she never seemed happy with jon or with her broad of 8. Anyone who says Jon is trying to get media attention (burglary in his house, etc.) clearly did not see nor understand him. He really didn't even want to be on the TLC show. It was unhealthy for his children and Kateâ??s' constant putting him down about his weight, hair, etc. and daily hitting him on the interview couch. In my opinion he should a beat her @$$ the first time she hit him. No man should have to tolerate such abuse- as much as women shouldnâ??t! Kate changed completely after the first paycheck. Jon was always content. He very clearly did not want attention or the Hollywood lifestyle. He just wanted to be a dad and husband and have a normal life. And no one is really talking about the children, what about what Kate is doing to them? Emotional abuse is worse than physical abuse- bruises go away but scars on a childs heart stay with hem for life! I'm glad Jon forced Kate to stop exploiting her children- just to pay for 20 hours of hair extensions and tummy tucks and a new house every year. KATE GOSSELIN IS THE WORST MOM ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH!! God bless her lil ones....

  TO MINDY = DEC. 2: Agreed!!! Jon said - albeit softly and meekly as he was forced to behave (for Kate must shine and is one of those people who must make others look bad so that she looks good) - that he had NO choice in the matter of the TV show. Several times he made comments of that nature so that anyone who watched it carefully the whole fun heard it from his mouth - that it was not his decision and he had no say in that decision to be on TV. AS one who has been married to an extremely overpowering, domineering spouse, whom I KNEW I better go along with - and esp. as well, to try to maintain peace for my children - it was obvious from early on, and as well, he often, though cut off by her, made it clear he just wanted a normal family living a normal life not under TV cameras, and again, maybe one has to live with a controller like Kate to "get" how he would have to go along with pain, esp. for his kids - or pay the consequences. Then, when Kate believed herself to be movie star material, he opted out - taking all the criticism.

  Doesn't anyone get what happened with an already narcissistic person like Kate while Jon, after getting her through the early, difficult years with their 8, without complaint? It's unfair to blame him scathingly when she finally pushed him out, having decided she wanted to be a movie star while his part in their show was simply obeying her decison to "allow everyone into their home." I don't like to speak negatively about anyone, but it's so clear she caught a glimpse of hollywood glamor, and seeing herself as superior already, chose that route, wishing for the "old" Jon - which was the Jon who jumped at her every demand, took her humiliation and verbal beatings, tried to show his children some leniency as she denied them the simplest of childhood pleasures - candy, ice cream, permission to get dirty in play. He had no other choice - he wasn't aiming for Hollywood, and chose not to permit his children be forced into that. Such a sad story, but the children's pain breaks my heart.

  Kate was always very rude to Jon. Did u see the yelling and hitting. I've been married for 8 years with 4 kids and a blended marriage. I took better care of my husbands kids when we first met better then what she has with hers. I had 2 he had 2. My kids watched the show 2 times and felt sorry for the kids. I say go Jon find a woman that respects u!!!

  Their kids have been acting out since the inception of this show...all you ever saw was crying and temper tantrums with these kids....it was sooo annoying to watch. And I agree with "Dee".... I really don't think Jon wanted any of what that show offered. He, to me, just seemed to go along with whatever her "Royal highness" wanted. She did down grade him on this show and I always thought she came off as a real shrew.

  Kate is an embarrassment. Joint account means JOINT. Both have access. You could tell John didn't want any part of the dog and pony show that Kate potrayed. Then she would be-little him on the show. How about some gas for that fire. What did she expect?

  I like and admire Kate. 8 children to support, love and take care of!? Not everyone could do that. She needed the money from show to help support all those kids and provide a home for them...it was a great opportunity..so what is wrong with that?? She had a husband, who eventually turned into a lazy, fat dog and a few times toward end of shows, she did kinda verbally slam him...guess she couldn't help it as he deserved it. It is very sad that John has made himself so public with women and clubbing..sad for his children. He should been much more discreet completely or not do it at all for some time. His children needed to be his top priority when they split up. He's the jerk, no matter what. Kate deserves all the care or help she can get as what the heck has she done so wrong???

  I loved the show..... mind you they were not perfect, But that's the clincher. Life gets a little messy. My question is if Jon claims TV is hurting his children how is he going to support them? Wow Jon might have to get a real job....can you imagine!
