Would Hermione Granger agree? A new survey has speculated which houses from the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry would vote for presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump — and the outcome may surprise Harry Potter fans.
It turns out, Gryffindor — home to the Boy Who Lived, Ron Weasley, Granger and other courageous students — would most likely cast their ballot for the GOP presidential nominee, 70.
As for Slytherins? The house that produced the darkest wizard of all time, Lord Voldemort, was categorized as more liberal. Therefore, the former secretary of state, 69, might be their choice.
The fun experiment was cooked up (not in Potions class!) by CivicScience. The site calculated responses from nearly 1,200 people to reveal what Hogwarts house they’d most likely choose and teamed that with who they’d vote for.
Findings for Ravenclaw (known for their wisdom) and Hufflepuff (who are hardworking and dedicated) were just as interesting. According to the questionnaire, Ravenclaws would most likely side with Clinton while Hufflepuffs would vote for a third-party candidate such as Gary Johnson or Jill Stein.
Whether muggles or wizards, the countdown before the polls close is on. For those who haven’t voted yet, Google has made it easy to search for your nearest polling location. Additionally, voters should make sure to carry a valid photo ID card and check out what times locations are open until by visiting Ballotpedia.org.
