Faith Hill

Faith Hill (born Audrey Faith Perry) is a Grammy-winning country music singer known for hits including “This Kiss,” “Breathe,” “The Way You Love Me” and “Mississippi Girl,” as well as her long-running marriage to fellow country star Tim McGraw. Hill was born near Jackson, Mississippi, where she was adopted as an infant and raised in the small town of Star. She began singing in church as a child and later performed with local bands while attending school. After a brief stint in Hinds Community College, she left to pursue a music career in Nashville.

Hill signed a recording contract in the early 1990s and quickly broke through with her debut album, Take Me as I Am (1993). The record produced the No. 1 country hits “Wild One” and “Piece of My Heart.” She solidified her status as a country music star with her sophomore album, It Matters to Me (1995), before reaching mainstream success with Faith (1998) and Breathe (1999). The crossover success of “This Kiss” and “Breathe” into the pop mainstream made her one of the biggest music stars of the era.

Hill went on to release albums including Cry (2002), Fireflies (2005) and The Rest of Our Life (2017), a collaborative album with McGraw. She has won five Grammys, including the award for Best Country Album for Breathe. On screen, she has starred opposite McGraw in the TV series 1883 and has also appeared on shows including Touched by an Angel and Yellowstone.

Before her rise to fame, Hill was married to music publishing executive Daniel Hill from 1988 to 1994. She later became engaged to producer Scott Hendricks before beginning a relationship with McGraw during their 1996 tour together. The couple married later that year and share three daughters: Gracie McGraw (born in 1997), Maggie McGraw (born in 1998) and Audrey McGraw (born in 2001).
