Star Jones

Born in 1962 in North Carolina, Star Jones is a lawyer and media personality. The recognizable face spent many years as a legal correspondent for NBC’s The Today Show and NBC Nightly News until joining the cast of ABC’s The View in 1997.
On June 27, 2006, Jones officially reported that she would be leaving The View after nine seasons as co-host because her contract was not renewed. In September 2007, Jones revealed she had gastric bypass surgery in August 2003, resulting in a loss of 160 pounds over three years. Following her split from The View, Jones hosted her own live weekday talk show on truTV before it was cancelled in Feb. 2008.
Jones married investment banker Al Reynolds on November 13, 2004 but she filed for divorce in March 2008.
