Todd Chrisley

Todd Chrisley was born in Georgia and raised in Westminster, South Carolina. He made a living as a real estate tycoon before rising to fame as the star of USA Network’s Chrisley Knows Best.

The reality show premiered in 2014 and follows the lives of Todd, his wife, Julie Chrisley, and their kids. The businessman shares three children with Julie, daughter Savannah Chrisley and sons Chase Chrisley and Grayson Chrisley.

He is also the father of Lindsie Chrisley and Kyle Chrisley whom he shares with ex-wife, Teresa Terry. The former spouses and high school sweethearts were married for six years before calling it quits in 1996. Todd married Julie the same year his divorce was finalized.

The success of Chrisley Knows Best led to multiple spinoff series for Todd and his family, including According to Chrisley (which lasted one season), What’s Cooking With Julie Chrisley (a web series) and Growing Up Chrisley (starring Savannah and Chase).

Todd and Julie made headlines in August 2019 after they were accused of owing more than $2.1 million in unpaid state taxes, penalties and interest to the Georgia Department of Revenue. The couple settled in September 2019, agreeing to pay $150,000.

In June 2022, the couple were convicted on federal charges of tax evasion, bank and wire fraud and conspiracy. They were later sentenced to a combined 19 years in prison, with Todd beginning his 12-year sentence at FPC Pensacola in January 2023. (Julie began her seven-year sentence that same month at the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.) News broke in May 2025 that President Donald Trump pardoned him and Julie amid their prison sentences. Todd was officially released from prison on May 28, 2025.
