Tom Pelphrey

Pelphrey was born and raised in Howell, New Jersey. The award-winning actor graduated from Rutgers University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree before landing his first acting debut in the long-running CBS soap opera Guiding Light as the character of Jonathan Randall from 2004-2009. Over the years, the actor also had notable roles on shows like As The World Turns, Banshee, Ozark and Outer Range.
Pelphrey’s talents have been recognized through several different prestigious awards over the duration of his career. After losing to costar Bryton McClure in 2005, Pelphrey won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Young Actor in 2006 and 2008 for Guiding Light. For his role of Ben Davis on the popular Netflix drama series Ozark, the actor was nominated for an Emmy award in 2022 for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series.
The Iron Fist star has also appeared on the stage as well. He made his Broadway debut in 2012 as Micky Deans in End of the Rainbow. He then appeared opposite Nina Arianda and Sam Rockwell in Fool for Love in 2015. Due to his love of theater, Pelphrey formed the Apothecary Theater Company alongside fellow Rutgers graduates in 2008.
Pelphrey dated actress Jaimie Alexander in 2018, but the two split amid the coronavirus pandemic. The actor began dating the Big Bang Theory alum Kaley Cuoco in May 2022. In October, Cuoco announced via Instagram that she and Pelphrey are expecting their first child together, a baby girl.
