Why the long face? Prince George comes from a royal lineage of kings and queens, but his sometimes-grouchy faces prove he’s just like any other child.
The first born son to Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton, who accompanies his parents to a variety of events and occasions, always looks dapper. But can often sport a funny face or two.
In addition to going through various emotions like any normal kid, the Prince, who is the eldest of two siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, has also seemingly matured while entering his pre-teen years.
“His confidence has grown leaps and bounds over the last couple of years,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly in March 2022. “He is assertive, self-assured and knows what he wants, and doesn’t hold back on speaking his mind. His personality is really starting to shine.”
The insider added: “Prince George is already showing that he has what it takes to be the future King of England. … Despite the responsibilities he’ll entail in his future role, Kate and William don’t want to see him grow up too quickly. They’re determined to give him as much of a normal childhood as possible and it’s working wonders. He’s such a lovable, down-to-earth little boy.”
George was born in London on July 22, 2013. Although the Duke of Cambridge noted three years after his son’s arrival how fatherhood was “quite the change,” he still beamed about its benefits.
“I’m very lucky in the support I have from Catherine, she’s an amazing mother and a fantastic wife,” William explained in 2016. “I’ve struggled at times. The alteration from being a single, independent man to going into marriage and then having children is life-changing.”
The duke went on to call his oldest child a “little rascal sometimes” who kept him “on [his] toes,” but still insisted he was a “sweet boy” at his core. “Having a daughter is a very different dynamic. So I’m learning,” he shared.
Four years later, as George continued to develop, a source exclusively told Us that the heir was interested in diving, explaining, “George is obsessed with helicopters, planes and marine biology. George is well-behaved. All the kids are, but Charlotte and Louis both have a cheeky streak.”
