Drama, drama, drama. Teen Mom 2 costars Kailyn Lowry and Briana DeJesus have been feuding since 2017, and their animosity towards one another has only grown deeper throughout the years. The drama between the reality stars centers around multiple exes and baby daddies — and it first kicked off due to Briana’s relationship with Javi Marroquin, Kailyn’s ex-husband and father of her son Lincoln. After the “Coffee Convos” podcast host and the Air Force recruiter finalized their divorce in late 2016, fans noticed that Javi and Briana seemed to be getting flirty, even going on vacation together in September 2017 with their kids. Kail confronted Briana on-camera about the rumors that she was dating Javi, which the newer cast member denied.

"My issue is that you texted me telling me one thing and then Javi is telling me another thing," Kail said in an episode that aired in May 2018. "Javi is telling me that you all are trying to be together. I honestly don't care but he needs to be real about it and you need to be real about it."

Briana maintained that the two were just "friends," telling Kail, "If you're still feeling salty about it, that's your personal problem. Not mine. You're salty that Javi is moving on."

Briana and Kail went at it at the May 2018 reunion after Briana allegedly claimed that Chris assaulted Kail in front of her children. The reunion episode aired in August, which showed Briana and her family lunging at Kail while on stage.

That month, the Hustle and Heart author revealed to Us that she thought she and Briana “both kind of moved on and put it behind them. The longtime MTV personality added, “I can’t speak for her, but for me, I just don’t care.”

October 2020

A year and a half after the season 8 reunion drama, Briana claimed Kail was “cold” to her during the show’s virtual reunion amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Devoin Austin, the father of Briana’s first child, appeared on an episode of Kail’s “Coffee Convos” podcast, on which he discussed his beef with Briana’s family, among other topics. “I was happy to give Devoin a platform to tell his story,” Kail told Us at the time.

The podcast war continues. Two months after Devoin appeared on Kail’s podcast, Briana flew to Philadelphia to be on the podcast of Chris Lopez, the father of Kail’s youngest sons Lux and Creed. This later played out on camera in March 2022, at the beginning of Teen Mom season 11.

Kail sued Briana for defamation after the Florida native publicly claimed in early June that Chris told her Kail physically assaulted him, an allegation that Kail denied.

Briana sent Kail a treadmill amid their lawsuit. “I know u are fantastic at RUNNING YOUR MOUTH SO I THOUGHT UR FEET WOULD RUN JUST AS FAST!” she shared about the gift via her Instagram STory, though the backlash was swift as fans believed the “present” was body-shaming.

Briana filed a motion in the lawsuit to prevent Kail’s legal team from being able to ask her any questions about her sex life. (The mom of four has claimed that Briana and Chris slept together, which Briana has repeatedly denied.)

A week later, Briana’s attorney Marc J. Randazza explained to Us the reason for filing the motion: “We had to file this motion because our unilateral extensions of professional courtesy, class, and decency were not reciprocated. That's okay. We will conduct ourselves according to our high standards and we will let them choose their own standards for themselves."

March 2022

After the March premiere of season 11, Kail and Briana began sharing screenshots of separate alleged text messages from Javi — who appeared to be playing both sides.

In the screenshots shared by Kail, it looked as if Javi had texted her screenshots of his own conversation with Briana, in which the mom of two asked him if he wanted to hang out while she was in town recording Chris’ podcast. In these texts, Javi denied Briana’s invitation and claimed his “loyalty” to Kail because she is the mom of his oldest son.

Briana then shared her own alleged texts from Javi from January 2022, in which he appears to flirt heavily with her, recalling their past hookups and saying he’s often in Florida.

March 2022

Kail and Briana duked it out on social media over the Florida native’s relationships with the Love Is Bubblegum author’s exes.

“Everybody has their thing,” Kail replied to a fan via her Instagram Story. “Sloppy seconds may be hers.”

Briana hit back on Twitter the next day. “If I really wanted her sloppy seconds, I could literally have both of them at the same time. But I don’t want any of them,” she tweeted, defending Chris: “Chris is such a cool person, y’all need to leave him alone.”

On March 18, Briana filed a response in support of her protective order against Kail, obtained by Us. Briana seeks to “keep the details of her sexual history off the public record,” she said in the filing, claiming that Kail “has used this case as a vehicle for publicity."

A judge dismissed Kailyn's defamation lawsuit in favor of Briana, according to court documents obtained by Celebuzz. "I won," Briana told the outlet in reaction to the ruling. Hours after the decision, Briana took to social media to share screenshots of her Amazon cart, which included a clown costume and a mirror — presents she presumably intends to send to Kail. "Alexa, play 'bitch better have my money!'" she wrote in the gift message.

Kail was more subdued in her response to the lawsuit being dismissed in Briana's favor. "While today's ruling is unfortunate, I have to respect the judge's decision. With that being said, I stand by my truth and the information spread about me is still not true," she wrote via her Instagram story. "I would like to thank my legal team for fighting for me, and I am looking forward to life after this lawsuit so I can focus my energy solely on my boys and my future business endeavors."

Briana hosted a party in honor of Kailyn's lawsuit against her being dismissed. Teen Mom 2 cast members came to the Florida event in droves, including Briana's sister, Brittany, and her ex-boyfriend Luis Hernandez. Jade Cline and Sean Austin also partied with their costars, as did TM2 alum Jenelle Evans, who was fired from the series in 2019. The reality stars took to social media to document the night's activities, which included drinking, dancing and getting tattooed.

Though Kailyn didn't directly respond to the "celebration," she posted an Instagram Story set to the Mariah Carey song "Obsessed."

Just days after Briana partied to celebrate her legal win, the teaser for the Teen Mom 2 season 11 reunion dropped — which shows her talking about the Teen Mom: Family Reunion drama involving Kailyn, who didn't attend TM:FR (and was at the season 11 reunion via video chat).

June 2022 Despite trading barbs back and forth on social media, the Teen Mom 3 alum told Us on June 9 that she “look[s] forward to an improved relationship with Kail.” She surmised that while “it seems that Kail may have gotten upset … [she] was then very poorly advised as to whether there should be a lawsuit.” Briana noted: “Our relationship is certainly better now that communications are not being relayed through the funnel of bad legal advice.”

Still, she added when asked about her former costar's departure from the series, "I do not think about Kail." The Delaware resident "does not live rent free in my head," Briana said.

In an exclusive interview with Us, Briana revealed where she stands with Kailyn after the lawsuit was dismissed and the Delaware resident exited Teen Mom 2.

"I don't feel like there's really anything to say," Bri told Us. "Like, she is not on this new show here [Teen Mom: The Next Chapter], so it is what it is. I got my money and the case is over with, and hopefully there's no more drama."

Four years after her split from Javi, Briana went on Instagram Live to make one serious allegation about their past romance — and claimed that her feud with Kailyn "could have been avoided if people weren't obsessed with people," referring to Kail's alleged interest in Javi at the time.

“There was a time that [Javi] wanted to get me pregnant so bad, but I didn’t want that … I secretly had to get on birth control,” Briana claimed in the Live, per The Ashley's Reality Roundup.

She added: “[My feud with Kail] could have been avoided if people weren’t obsessed with people, or if I had done my research [on how Javi and Kail were]. I need to stop living in the moment and maybe do my research,” she said, acknowledging: “I do take accountability for some of my actions that happened afterwards, but I never dated [Javi] with malicious intent."

The Teen Mom: The Next Chapter star continued: "Some people had negative intentions, I wish I was smarter back then to know what’s going on … but I’ll never date a person where there’s another person out there that’s obsessed with them. It’s terrible."
