Anna Kendrick reveals that she hasn't been hit on since filming Up In the Air back in 2009 for Elle magazine's first-ever Social issue

Aca-what!? Anna Kendrick has hosted Saturday Night Live, her Pitch Perfect song “Cups” has spent 44 weeks on Billboard’s Hot 100, and yet, the actress has revealed that she hasn’t been hit on (at all!) since working on the film Up In the Air in 2009.

“Honest to God,” the 28-year-old told Elle in the magazine’s first-ever Social issue. (She split from director Edgar Wright in May 2013 after four years of dating.)

Up In the Air was Kendrick’s first major role after playing Jessica, high school pal of Bella (Kristen Stewart) in the first Twilight film in 2008. (She went on to appear in the franchise’s New Moon and Eclipse.) The actress played ambitious Natalie Keener who traveled with corporate “downsizer” Ryan Bingham (George Clooney). The comedy-drama quickly catapulted the Maine native to A-list status, and even earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress.

Despite describing herself as “pale” and “awkward” in her Twitter profile, Kendrick is anything but in her Elle spread this month. She poses seductively in a red dress for its cover, and for the accompanying photo spread, dons a pink strapless bikini while relaxing on a fur rug, and wears a tight-fitted black dress.

“The character I’m channeling for my Elle cover shoot probably killed her 1st husband,” she joked of the dress via Twitter on Tuesday, June 11.

Kendrick looks sexier than ever in the mag’s pages, but admits she’s happy she never used her sexuality to rise to the top. “I’ve never felt like I’ve exactly traded on my looks. When I was a teenager, I was an ultra-late bloomer, and my mom would say it was a blessing, because it means you never have to wonder if guys are only interested in you because you’ve got boobs,” she told Elle.

“I would have been thrilled if guys were interested in me because of my boobs!” she continued. “Similarly, I think I’m lucky that I’ve never had a crisis about whether the only reason I’m successful is because I’m crazy hot. It’s not something that crosses my mind.”
