Review | Kell on Earth

AIR DATE: MONDAY 2/1
Make no mistake: Kelly Cutrone, the public-relations maven best known for bossing around Lauren Conrad on The Hills, is not a charm-school grad. In the opener, the single mom berates staffers at her PR firm, People's Revolution, even as they forgo sleep to help her produce runway shows at NYC's Fashion Week. The workaholic Cutrone also treats the fashion biz as seriously as brain surgery. Fine. But how disappointing that for all her cred, the only "celebrity" with whom she interacts is ex-hooker Ashley Dupré!
The good news? Kell whips up absorbing inside moments. When a computer glitch threatens to throw off a seating chart for one show, everyone panics -- mostly because, as funny assistant Andrew Mukamal puts it, each attendee "has an enormous ego." Good dish like that is always in style. (Bravo, 10 P.M.)

2I must say, its a total breath of fresh air that Bravo TV has FINALLY decided to take on a show where some 100lbs, boob flaunting air head isn't the main attraction. Please don't get me wrong, Bravo TV is one of my favorite networks, I LOVE ALL the Housewive's series, Millionaire Matchmaker (another thumbs up btw), and its other shows too. However, here we have the non-stereo typical woman, working in the huge industry of fashion, yet - she's so sucked up into her JOB, and NOT the fashion world itself? Randomly make sense I hope...? I like that she's in the industry of flowing fabrics, crazy hair do's, eat disorder central...yet keeps herself to HER standard of all black, unkept hair...totally not digs, more or less praise for sticking to HER standards and NOT the standards of an industry that can be so destructive. Rock on!!
Anyone read the crappy TWoP recap of the show? It made me so mad!
