Us Rating: **

They are two of the sexiest actors in Hollywood, but Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp have zero chemistry in this far-fetched romantic thriller. It begins when the mysterious Elise (an impeccably styled Jolie) meets hapless American teacher Frank (Depp) on a train in Italy. As she comes under surveillance by law enforcement agents -- as well as creepy thugs -- her watchers think Frank is her accomplice and pursue him as well. Though the cinematography in Venice is spectacular, it can't make up for the "been there, done that" chase sequences and a terribly predictable plot. (Columbia Pictures, $29)
