Sitting down with host Chris Harrison for a July 5 Bachelorette special, exes Vienna Girardi and Jake Pavelka open up about their highly-publicized split.

"I know Jake, and I knew as soon as we broke up he was going to run to a media outlet and tell his side of the story," the ex-Hooters waitress, 24, musters while fighting back tears. "I wanted to make sure I had a voice also...I want people to know I did try in this relationship."

Pavelka, 32, stares off into the distance as his ex continues to explain herself.
"I loved him," she says. "I wanted it to be different."

40I think Jake set Vienna up from the beginning....not a fan favorite so he could toss her aside when he was finished with her and people would look down on her and not him. I think he's pathetic...and those of you who constantly criticize Vienna's looks...are yours perfect...bet I could find some flaws real quick...sure is one in your attitude. When you run people down like that, it just makes you look bad. She looks just like God made her...if you have a problem with it...take it up with Him.

I don't mind Vienna. I think she is young, but at least she says what she thinks. On the other hand Jake is a complete fake. Probably sometime in his life (a looooong time ago) Jake was told, "OMG you totally look like Tom Cruise! U could b an actor!" or something along those lines & took that seriously. He's such a horrible "actor," I think the only thing he can star in would b a porn spoof of Bachelor.
Vienna - I am on your side. I was married to a guy like Jake and all I can say is RUN and DONT LOOK BACK. It only gets worse the longer you stay and his prior GFs are the proof. You go girl!
I have to say, this guy is a closet case. Deep inside he knows what is going on and is trying to prove to the world that he is straight, and may even try to fool himself. I hope he can find his true self and live a happy life. Sorry Vienna, but you are an unintended victim of his sexual struggle. Best of luck to both!
I have to say there is something not real about Ali too. But I think she is a great actress. I just dont know what she is up to, but her true intentions will come out soon. I may be wrong on the Ali thing, but I'm absolutely convinced that Jake is a gay man that wants to live the married with kids life. just like that governor from New Jersey.
Since Jake was on the show I have been telling anyone that wants to listen that Jake is gay. Jake is one of those gay guys that wants the kids and family. Vienna just confirms what I already knew. This guy is just a big fake.

Jake is so fake. He picked Vienna PRECISELY because he knew he was only on the bachelor to get his career started. He knew he would be breaking up with the "winner" a couple of months later and he knew that if he broke up with Vienna, everyone would understand. If he had chosen Tenley and broken up with her, as he planned all along, everyone would be hating on him right now. He is SUCH A FREAKING PHONY
Jake isn't anymore innocent than Vienna. Sad that they put themselves out there on a show like The Bachelor...And for what? This? They had to know it wasn't going to work out. Most of the relationships don't! It's a fun show to watch but who is pathetic enough to be on the show. The fame w.hores!
Vienna said that they had sex in the beginning of the relationship and then he started making excuses. I think he realize he made a mistake with her, but loving the fame that came with the relationship, he wanted to keep it going as long as he could, so he made excuses rather than break up with her. Vienna wouldn't be the first scorned woman to make this kind of accusation.
I have never liked Jake from the first episode and the few others that I did watch confirmed it. He is a control freak and I really believe he is a media junkie trying to be famous and get an acting career out of this. As for Vienna, ehhh, she is not as innocent either, but I do agree with her that she had the right to tell her story to only ONE tabloid that I have seen. Plus all I've seen on TV lately is Jake doing a media blitz. Again Control Freak. But I never considered the "he's gay" route, but I can see it now. It wouldn't surprise me either way. I just don't like the guy. He creeps me out.

Doesn't anyone realize they are both playing you for another 15-minutes? DWTS was over and both were falling of the radar. What better way to get more fame than an ugly, very public breakup where both level accusations at each other, giving the other a chance to respond, keeping them both in the press. A mutual parting of ways statement wouldn't have given them nearly as much press. This is just part of their game and it is being bought hook, line and sinker. There is no side to take here - they are both doing it for the same reason.
