Nicole Massabrook

Associate Editor Nicole Massabrook works at Us Weekly because it’s the only way she can pay bills while being this obsessed with pop culture. Nicole spent most of her teen years reading every entertainment website she could find while also being a high school and then college newspaper editor. She honed her journalism skills at Monmouth University, where she became the Entertainment Editor at the student-run newspaper and interviewed local musicians and actors.

Nicole was hired as an Entertainment Writer at International Business Times in 2014 where she got to chat with celebs on red carpets and at press junkets and events like ATX Television Festival and New York Comic Con. She’s interviewed the likes of Priyanka Chopra, Justin Hartley, Billy Porter, Sophia Bush and Paul Bettany.

Education

Nicole graduated from Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey, in 2014. Knowing that her only marketable skills were writing and pop culture trivia, she majored in English with minors in both journalism and theater.

Work history

After being a high school newspaper Editor-in-Chief and a college newspaper Entertainment Editor, she was hired to write about TV and movies at International Business Times. She was promoted to Deputy Entertainment and Lifestyle Editor in 2016 before becoming Deputy Trending Editor in 2020. She joined the Us Weekly team in April 2021.
