Sending well wishes! Andy Cohen announced that his baby boy had arrived via surrogate with a Monday, February 4, Instagram post — and celebrities have been showing their support for the new dad on social media.
Kelly Ripa, who helped throw the Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen host, 50, an east coast baby shower last month, commented on the Bravo star’s first father-son pic. “He’s perfect!” she wrote. “Like father, like son.” She also congratulated her friend on Live With Kelly and Ryan the next day. “I was honored to practically be in the delivery room on the phone with my friend who was actually in the delivery room,” she admitted.
Mariah Carey echoed the sweet social media comments, writing, “Congratulations and Mazel Tov, Andy!! Can’t wait to meet Benjamin, he’s very lucky to have you as a dad.” American Horror Story star Sarah Paulson added that the little one was “one lucky baby,” while Taylor Lautner called dibs on being the “babysitter.”
Of course, a few of the Real Housewives added their congrats into the mix. They did all attend the Most Talkative author’s star-studded west coast baby shower, after all.
“This makes so happy,” Melissa Gorga wrote. “Congrats big Daddy!!!!!! Xoxoxoxoxox.” Kyle Richards sent her love from Beverly Hills, admitting, “I cannot stop crying.” And Kim Zolciak of The Real Housewives of Atlanta advised Cohen to “enjoy every minute.”
Gabrielle Union, who also welcomed her first child via surrogate this year with her husband, Dwyane Wade, shared her excitement with an Instagram comment. Since Cohen was cuddling his son close to his chest in his announcement photo, the actress wrote, “Congrats!!!!!! That skin to skin action is the best!!”
Other celebrity parents pitched in as well. Pink told the Missouri native, “Congratulations a million times,” and Anna Faris asked, “Are you ready for breastfeeding? It’s harder than it looks.”
Stars also showed their love for the proud new papa on Twitter. “Get up on a table and dance for @Andy and his beautiful baby Benjamin NOW!!!!!!” Lisa Rinna tweeted. Fellow Real Housewife Bethenny Frankel sent her love too, writing, “Congratulations @Andy on the greatest love of your life Benjamin Allen Cohen!!! Baby you’ve got #BAC.”
Jerry O’Connell, meanwhile, shared some advice. “Congrats @Andy with your baby Aquarian! Lemme know if you need help with the car seat. The first time is tricky.”
