Ugh, moms! Jennifer Garner dealt with a harsh blow from her daughter Seraphina by embracing the nickname her middle child gave her.
“When I grow up, I want to be a fun-killing mom, just like you!” the 9-year-old, whom the Alias alum shares with ex-husband Ben Affleck, wrote in a note to her mother.
Garner, 46, shared the cute message on Instagram on Friday, November 9, along with the caption: “Is this a nine year old burn? Or the ultimate compliment? #funkillingmom #illtakealovenotehoweveritcomes.”
Affleck, 46, and the Camping star are also the parents of Violet, 12, and Samuel, 6.
The pair became legally divorced after a judge signed off on the final papers on Wednesday, November 7, according to court documents obtained by Us Weekly. Affleck and Garner finalized details of the divorce on October 4. The former couple announced their separation in June 2015 after 10 years of marriage and filed for divorce in April 2017.
In the meantime, the Peppermint actress has moved on with new boyfriend John Miller. Us exclusively revealed the romance on October 24. “They’ve been together six months — and it’s getting pretty serious,” a source told Us at the time. A second insider said of the pairing: “Jen brings out the best in John, and he is the happiest he has probably ever been. It’s a loving, healthy relationship.”
Another source revealed to Us that Garner is “head over heels in love” with the businessman.
As for Affleck — who dated Saturday Night Live producer Lindsay Shookus for more than a year before their August split and was briefly linked to Playboy model Shauna Sexton — he has no problem with his ex’s relationship status. “Ben and Jen have immense love and respect for one another,” an insider told Us in October. “They still coparent together and that will always come first. He will always be supportive of any decisions she makes and ultimately just wants her to be happy.”
