Sharing his side. Kanye West claimed in a new tell-all interview that Kim Kardashian is trying to "antagonize" him following their split — and roped Pete Davidson into the drama. The rapper, 44, told Hollywood Unlocked's Jason Lee that he was offended when Kardashian, 41, kissed Davidson, 28, during a Saturday Night Live sketch when she hosted for the first time in October 2021. At the time, West was in the audience to support his estranged wife. "How you gonna bring me to SNL and then kiss the dude you dating right in front of me?" the Yeezy designer wondered during the interview, which was released on Monday, January 24. West was spotted with Kardashian in New York City ahead of her appearance on the NBC show. SNL's Kenan Thompson later told Us Weekly that there were "talks" about putting the Grammy winner in a sketch, but the musician remained behind the scenes. Kardashian, for her part, was not officially dating the King of Staten Island star when the episode aired. They were spotted out together frequently in the weeks that followed, confirming their romance in November 2021 when they were photographed holding hands in Palm Springs, California. The Donda rapper claimed his daughter North, 8, was once told by security that "daddy can't come inside" when she wanted to show him something after school. "And I'm hearing that the new boyfriend is actually in the house that I can't even go to, and that's when I called my cousins [to speak with her]." The Keeping Up with the Kardashians alum hasn't publicly commented on West's allegations, but a source told Us in December 2021 that she wanted to ensure that the rapper still spent time with their children. Staying Close

"My solace comes from seeing my kids and getting a solid schedule," West said of his children with Kardashian. Despite the couple's separation, the "Gold Digger" rapper explained that he is determined to remain a strong presence his children's lives, adding, "I’m gonna be so close, the kids are literally going to be in walking distance. I don’t play when it comes to my children."

Next Door

West went on to explain why he purchased a $4.5 million home in Hidden Hills, California, in December 2021 — putting him right across the street from the Selfish author. "Nothing with my career, with this rap, with this media, with none of that [is] gonna keep me from my children,” he said. "And that’s what I want everybody to know: Don’t play with me, don’t play with my children, ain’t no security gonna get in between me and my children and you ain’t finna gaslight me."

Unplugged

The "Jesus Walks" artist also explained that he has strong feelings about his eldest daughter being on social media. "Don't have my daughter wearing lipstick on TikTok — or don't have her on TikTok at all — if I'm not there to approve that," he said, referring to the social media account that North shares with Kardashian. "It was done without me knowing and it happened again."

West added that he felt his estranged wife was "poking the bear" by allowing North to post videos online.

Online Attacks

According to the designer, his 2020 foray into politics is one of the main reasons that his marriage to Kardashian fell apart. "There's a lot of people around Kim that can influence her. As she's making certain decisions, she's just looking for safety and a safe place to be," he claimed, adding that the beauty mogul was "attacked" online for his personal beliefs. "Women just want security and comfort. Ultimately, [what she would] like is her husband but for her husband to play the role of what Hollywood's playing already."

Above and Beyond

West also alleged that, when he was first dating Kardashian, he took a flight to recover her supposed second sex tape from her ex Ray J. "I met this man at the airport, then got on a red eye, came back and delivered [a laptop containing the video] to her at 8 a.m. in the morning," the musician recalled. "And then I gave it to her, and she cried when she saw it. You know why she cried when she seen it on the laptop? Because it represents how much she’s been used. It represents how much people didn’t love her and they just saw her as a commodity. ... She's the most famous person in the world."

Kardashian's lawyer has previously denied that a second explicit video of her and Ray J exists.

Feeling "Used"

At one point, Lee asked the "Mercy" rapper whether he felt that he was "used" by Kardashian and her famous family. "Maybe so, but I'm sitting here with a Balenciaga jacket on right now, so it's OK," West responded.

A Great Woman

Despite all of their disagreements, West acknowledged that Kardashian still has a great deal of support from his family. "Women love Kim," he said. "She's a poster child of somebody — a mom, a lawyer. Can't nobody deny that everyone loves Kim."
