Sometimes the view from Mexico is even better on your couch. Dean Unglert, Kaitlyn Bristowe and more members of Bachelor Nation couldn’t help but weigh in as the drama between Blake Horstmann and Caelynn Miller-Keyes played out on the two-night premiere of Bachelor in Paradise season 6. Blake, 30, came under fire during the Tuesday, August 6, episode of the ABC dating series when Caelynn, 24, revealed that the duo hooked up the night before he had sex with their costar Kristina Schulman. "I feel like a slimy, disgusting secret that you’re ashamed of," the former pageant queen told the sales rep on the beach in Mexico. "We had something, dude.” After Blake failed to defend himself on the episode, he took to Instagram to “address what is being portrayed” on the show. “I NEVER ghosted Caelynn, I NEVER called her a mistake and I absolutely NEVER EVER EVER silenced Caelynn,” he wrote. “I never expected to have to do something like this, but after finally seeing the episodes I feel like I have no choice but to release the text exchanges between her and myself. This is the last thing I wanted to do, but my name and character are being attacked. The first set of messages, which was from their night together at the Stagecoach music festival in April, made it seem like Caelynn initiatedthe hookup. “Dude. It’s fine. Chill it’ll be good. Come on loosen up. Let’s just have a good time man,” Caelynn texted Blake, noting she “just ordered an Uber” and wanted to come over “strictly for sex.” “Nothing more nothing less. I’m just trying to be honest,” the former Miss Carolina USA wrote. Blake then shared an exchange between the duo that allegedly took place one week before they started filming Bachelor in Paradise. “I’m scared. I’m thinking of pulling out of paradise,” Blake texted, adding that the pair “f–ked up so bad.” “If we play it off as not being a big deal then it’s not. Dean Unglert

Speculation that Dean and Caelynn started seeing each other surfaced in July, weeks before Bachelor in Paradise premiered on Monday, August 5. According to an insider, the twosome are “together, but are taking it slow.” While Dean hasn’t confirmed his romance with Caelynn, he came to her defense on Tuesday via Twitter.

“A ‘public figure’ sharing private text messages in an attempt to salvage whatever is left of their fragile ego….” Dean wrote. “Calling it childish would be disrespectful to children everywhere.”

Jason Tartick and Kaitlyn Bristowe

“Through the good, bad and ugly you’ve always been a loyal friend to me, and I will always be a loyal friend to you,” Jason, who appeared on season 14 of The Bachelorette with Blake, commented on his post. “These are the trying times in which you’ll learn invaluable life lessons that will allow you to be in a better position in your life pursuit of love and happiness. A disappointing time, but know I’m here for you and I do believe there are two sides to every story.” 

The season 11 Bachelorette, who started dating Jason in January, also showed her support: “Thank you for being vulnerable and honest.”

“Blake needed to be called out & Caelynn & Kristina should NOT have kept his ‘secret’ to protect his image on TV!” the reality TV personality tweeted on Tuesday. “BUT I don’t see the point in using Kristina using her date card for this..I wish she would have asked someone worthy & called him out on the beach #BachelorInParadise.” 

After Blake released the text messages, Amanda threw shade at her own Bachelor in Paradise ex Robby Hayes, who posted alleged emails between the pair follwing their 2018 split.

“He should ask Robby Hayes for some insight before he does … see how it turned out for him,” Amanda replied to Dean’s tweet about the situation.

The Bachelor in Paradise season 5 couple showered Blake with love in the comments of his Instagram post.

“I know I told you last week posting these might not be the best idea. but as a friend I just want YOU to be happy and I know your anxiety was about to erupt. So I get it,“ Kevin replied. “And I’ll support you regardless. because I know you’re a good friend and a good hearted human. Chin up amigo.” 

Astrid added, “Glad you got to tell your side of the story. If nothing else I hope you learned from this and it helps you grow into the man I know you are. Always here for you 💕.”

Despite Kristina’s own history with Blake — the twosome were seeing each other before they went to Paradise and when he hooked up with Caelynn — she showed him support on Tuesday. 

“Speak your truth, no one can take that away from you,” she commented on his post.

Adam, who met fiancé Raven Gates on season 4 of Bachelor in Paradise, thanked Blake for being “open” about the situation.

“Always 2 sides to every story and I know first hand about how editing and portraying can make things look 👨🏼‍💻,” he wrote in the comments section of Blake’s post.

The former Bachelorette contestant appears to be friendly with Blake. “You’re a good man Bud,” Chase commented on the post. “Those who actually know you can see right through the blurred lines here! Keep your head up bud! So much more love coming your way!”

Ashley, who competed on season 15 of The Bachelor, initially took Blake’s side — until he released the text messages. 

“Here’s what happens when you go on the Bachelor/ette - you’re the most popular you will ever be, you’re the most attractive you will ever be, and people that never would have paid attention to you now want to have sex with you. #BachelorinParadise,” she tweeted on Monday. “You should definitely take advantage of it! Live your life - no one is judging. Just know that everyone talks in the franchise and it’s impossible to keep a secret. Especially if you make it onto Paradise - just don’t be a dick and be honest!” 

Hours later, Ashely returned to Twitter and slammed Blake for his actions.

“Oh hi I changed my mind. F--k Blake for releasing those texts,” she wrote. “Just because I already see the comments saying Caelynn can’t want sex or casual sex after what happened to her. I’m gonna get off twitter before I lose my mind.”

Demi Burnett

The fellow Bachelor in Paradise season 6 contestant has no interest in taking sides. 

“The Blake and Caelynn scandal has me team neutral. Not my business so I can’t comment anymore. But I am here to watch this dumpster fire go up in flames,” Demi tweeted on Tuesday night. “I love y’all and I’m sorry but I cope with humor.”

Tanner Tolbert

Tanner, who met wife Jade Roper on season 2 of Bachelor in Paradise, made it clear he is not a fan of Blake. 

“Blake is out here making Dean look like Mother Theresa... #bachelorinparadise,” Tanner tweeted during Monday night’s premiere.

The next night, he retweeted his own post and added, “Still confused how Blake pulled any of these girls in the first place... #BachelorInParadise.” 

Tanner also pointed out how much hate season 2 contestant Joe Bailey received after he was caught texting Samantha Steffen before the season, which is a common practice now.

“I remember when Joe Bailey got destroyed for sending Samantha a DM before our season of Paradise... now people are hooking up with half the cast and pre planning engagements.... #ohhowthetimeshavechanged #freejoebailey,” he wrote.
