Showing his support! After a Girl Scout used Jason Momoa‘s name and picture to sell Samoa cookies as “Momoas,” the Aquaman star reacted on the 2019 Oscars red carpet.
“I love Girl Scout cookies,” the actor, 39, told Entertainment Tonight at the 91st Academy Awards on Sunday, February 24. “I was waiting to get some free ones. I’d love some. I want the shortbread — and then you put those in the freezer, and that’s the best way.”
While he said he only wanted some shortbread cookies, his wife, Lisa Bonet, joked, “I think he just wants his cut.”
Charlotte Holmberg, the Girl Scout behind the clever marketing tactic which started as an “inside joke” with her friends and family, told Denver’s 9News earlier this month, “The moms are getting really excited and they’re saying that they need them.”
Momoa and his wife, 51, who married in 2017 after more than a decade of dating, didn’t just dish on coconut cookies at the Oscars, but talked about the December 2018 premiere of Aquaman as well.
The Game of Thrones alum, who hit the red carpet with his wife and kids, Lola, 11, and Nakoa-Wolf, 10, at the time, told ABC, “[My kids] were blown away. They had a great time. I hadn’t seen it until they saw it, so it was a very special moment that I’ll remember forever.”
Bonet and Momoa stunned in matching pink looks at the Oscars for their first time at the awards show.
The Baywatch alum sported a velvet suit that was designed by the late Karl Lagerfeld himself. Momoa accessorized with a scrunchie of the same fabric, layered necklaces and brown boots.
“This is from [Lagerfeld’s] last couture collection from Fendi,” Bonet explained.
The actress wore a complementary look as she posed for pics and spoke to press with her husband, pairing a lacy floral number with blush booties.
