DWTS' Florence Henderson "Surprised" Bristol Didn't Get Voted Off

After she was eliminated Tuesday on ABC's Dancing With the Stars, Florence Henderson tells UsMagazine.com she "was a little surprised, but you know I've watched this show since it began, and I've seen absolutely shocking things happen on it, so somebody has to go."

Palin, 19, who scored the lowest on Monday's show for the jive, tells Us, "I'm so relieved. It is like a big weight was lifted off my shoulders. I was scared and nervous going into the night, but we got through so that's very exciting ... I was definitely surprised and shocked when they said we were safe... with our low scores and stuff, it was pretty stressful."

She says she thinks that voters saw her "rawness and vulnerability" and that's why they kept her in.
"I'm just so thankful that they kept me another week and they see potential in me obviously," she tells Us. "Hopefully I can prove that I can be a performer." Bristol says her confidence is now "pretty high ... but I know we've got lots of work to do for next week, and I'm ready to go practice."

Florence lived all these years and doesn't know that this is just as fixed as wrestling. It's all about ratings.
Florence needed to go! I could not take another minute of her all over poor Corkie. He looked so uncomfortable every time she tried to sex him up. Gross! Bristol will probably be next, but Florence hounded the show for two years begging to be on it. Now she's been on it. Time to move on. And I don't think Florence's comments about her and "Greg's" dating or not dating helped win any points. In fact, that is probably why she was booted before Bristol. Because she's just gross!
I thought Bristol looked a little sheepish when Florence was cut. I think she knows she should have gone instead. As Annalee said, it was down to those 2 anyway...but it should have gone Bristol THEN Florence based on that last dance but if Florence had the worst AVERAGE scores then perhaps they did do it right. Tough call.

As the other contestants look like they have been losing weight, Bristol looks like she is gaining.
I don't see the quote where Florence said she thought Bristol would go. I'm calling B.S. on this freaking story. Come ON!
Bristol should have been gone long ago. She has never been able to dance. She should have gone before Florence did.

In my opinion it was Florence and Bristol going next either way. The pay is the same isn't it? I think Bristol should have gone (and I like her) but she was awful in that dance. But really whether it was Florence this week and Bristol next week, it's all the same. They were the next to go regardless. Florence was the dancing equivalent of an overactor...she really wasn't that good, while Bristol doesn't "act" enough.

Bristol may be a good dancer but not the best. I cant help think this may be just another publicity vehicle to promote the candidacy of her mother for the presidency and popularity. Who would dave vote off the daughter of a popular presidential candidate.

I like her ,she had my voted, I saw people dressed in line with money suits on Halloween, but I never see someone can wear monkey suit and can dance that imagines talent

I thought dancing and other physical activity was supposed to help one lose weight, but it appears that Palin has gotten fatter. WTF!!!!!
