Socialite Sonja Morgan is joining the cast of Real Housewives of New York City, a source tells Usmagazine.com.

Morgan, 45, "is not married," the source tells Us. "You would think they'd get some more married women on the show! It's called the Real Housewives of New York, after all!"
She's a pal of Countess LuAnn de Lesseps, who is also on the show, the insider adds.

A rep for Bravo had no comment.
Bethenny Frankel, who authored New York Times bestseller Naturally Thin and invented the Skinnygirl Margarita, will star in her own Bravo reality series that will chronicle her attempt to balance her career and love life.

A rep for Frankel told Us in July that she intends to wed beau of about 10 months, Jason Hopper.
"I can confirm Bethenny and Jason are in love and plan on getting married," the rep said.

Yeah the show will be kind of lame with Bethenny gone and Jill to hold the entire show together because the rest of the housewives are a bit annoying, if not weird.
hope the rumors are not true as Bethany and Jill are the only two that make that show worth watching -- as well as the kid of Ramona's. Ramona is a nut and the kid knows it.

Sonja Morgan is divorced from John A Morgan (a descendent of JP). She lives in NYC w/ their 8 yr. old daughter. They met when she was a hostess at a restaurant Mr. Morgan frequents. She is originally from upstate NY.

US needs to do their research. First, Morgan is married, to a descendent of JP Morgan. Second, both Frankl and Bravo have confirmed that Bethany will be on the entire season of NY Housewives. Do these people even attempt to do check the validity of their sources anymore?
