Melissa McCarthy, one of the breakout stars from this year's Bridesmaids, has joined the cast of Judd Apatow's Knocked Up sequel, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The actress, 40, joins previously announced stars Megan Fox and Albert Brooks. Paul Rudd, 42, and Leslie Mann, 39, will reprise their characters from the 2007 blockbuster comedy (which starred Seth Rogen and Katherine Heigl).

Super 8 child star Ryan Lee, 14, will play McCarthy's son, who attends school with Rudd and Mann's children.

McCarthy (of the CBS sitcom Mike & Molly) has enjoyed massive box office success this year. Since its May release, Bridesmaids has earned more than $154 million domestically.
