Carrie Underwood Lands First Movie Role!

Carrie Underwood is heading to the big screen.
The five-time Grammy winner will play a supporting role in inspirational flick Soul Surfer, her rep confirms to UsMagazine.com. The movie is about 19-year-old champion surfer Bethany Hamilton, who lost her arm in a shark attack.

Underwood, 26, will play Sarah Hill, a church youth leader. Filming began in Hawaii this week.

The flick also stars Academy Award winner Helen Hunt as Bethany’s mother, Cheri, Golden Globe nominee Dennis Quaid as Bethany's father, Tom and AnnaSophia Robb as Bethany.
