Chelsea Handler to Host This Year's MTV VMAs!

MTV's censors better get ready: Chelsea Handler will host this year's Video Music Awards!
MTV announced Wednesday that the raunchy comedian and Chelsea Lately host, 35, will emcee the big show, broadcast live from Los Angeles on September 12.
"Everyone knows that when you think of rap music and hip-hop you think of Chelsea Lately," Handler joked on Wednesday's Chelsea Lately. "And that's why I will be hosting them."

Handler is taking over for British comic star Russell Brand, who hosted the past two awards shows.
Another outspoken personality scheduled to appear: Kanye West, who will perform at the show one year after he infamously interrupted Taylor Swift onstage.
Other big performers of the night: Justin Bieber, Ne-Yo, Trey Songz, Nicki Minaj and Selena Gomez.

Who's up for the most Moonmen trophies? Lady Gaga, who leads the pack with an impressive 13 nominations, trailed by Eminem's 8 nods.

Being the fun-loving,easy-going,extremely good-looking, unpredictable gal that I am I can tell you that nothing annoys me more than being around someone who is "too serious" "can't take a joke" or uses big words. Who wants to be around someone that you have to carry a pocket dictionary around with you in order to understand what they just said?

Well being a comedian comes naturally to me. I think being funny can't be rehearsed or taught. It just has to be something that is genetically programmed into a person's DNA. There are no dress rehearsals on how to be a comdedian. You're either funny or you're not. Some people just have a knack for that sort of thing... I don't take life too seriously, that's why being fun and funny comes naturally to me. You gotta lighten up man, life's too short.

I love Eminem. He is so freakin talented. If you truly listen to his lyrics, every song he writes has personal meaning to it. I love his songs because they are real. The "I'm not Afraid" video is like dejavu to me. I've been there too.
