"Family Matter" Halts Filming of Courteney Cox's Cougar Town

Production on Courteney Cox's ABC series Cougar Town has been suspended while the star deals with a "family matter," Usmagazine.com has confirmed.

"We can confirm production on Cougar Town has been temporarily shut down in order for Courteney to deal with a private family matter," ABC tells Us in a statement.

Cox, 45, headlines the freshman divorcee comedy as Jules Cobb, a single mom dating in her forties. Dawson's Creek alum Busy Philipps, Scrubs regular Christa Miller and Drew Carey's Ian Gomez also star.

Wed since 1999, Cox and husband David Arquette have one daughter, Coco, 5.

39I hope she can realize that she is too old to have a child. She is not "35" or even "40" or even "43". She is almost 46 which is almost menopausal age.

too old, she wasn't trying to wait until her forties, she was having fertility problems for a long time and she finally successfully got pregnant with her daughter Coco. They wrote her situation into the show Friends.

When are woman going to learn they can't wait until they are in their early to mid 40's to start thinking about having their 1st child or another child. It's much more difficult to become pregnant at this age.
I think David is finishing his sex change operation and she has to hold his ....er...hand during the procedure
I LOVE Cougar Town!!! I hope all works out with Courtney and whatever she has to tend to, but I selfishly hope it doesn't slow down the TV schedule. I was very doubtful that I'd like the sitcom, but then I watched it and I was hooked. She's really got the character nailed -- and the other actors are FABULOUS!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this new show!!! She is such a lovely person, I hope all is well. But I was really surprised she took on this role - the show is god awful!!!
Maybe she's taking some time off to eat. She is such a pretty woman, but her body looks so gross. I'd hate to think that this is what young girls are striving to look like. I like my woman with some meat on their bones.
