After four seasons, one Heroes star is getting killed off for good.

Adrian Pasdar, who has played Nathan Petrelli since the show premiered in 2006, is leaving the NBC series this season, Entertainment Weekly reports.

According to EW, Pasdar learned he was out of a job only after reading his character's death scene in the script.
"He was hurt that the producers didn't tell him first," a source told EW. "He deserved better."

The actor on the onetime ratings powerhouse taped his final scenes in October.

the only thing that sucks is the fact that he was not told,but we all knew nathan was dead...didnt he die at the end of season 3???we knew we had him for a temporary time,and to be honest i really didnt enjoy his season 4 stint because i knw its not nathan,but sne1's who's been brain washed into thinking he is
Honestly - It is rather odd that the producers did not tell him. If it fits the story then it is not such a bad thing to kill of major characters to introduce new fresh ones. But we knew that his character would not last - His body is gone for pete's sake. What are they going to do - kill of Sylar- no way! Having said that - not telling the actor of the death of his character is very horrible.
I hate that they did that to him and his character. One they should have told him and two his character was such a big part of that show. Idiot hereos producers, but I hope they don't start killing off their important characters every season because they will lose alot of fans. Becuse his character and alot of the other original charactes made the show what it is.
