Ian in Your Ear: Keith Urban's Christmas Gift

Tis the season for country stars to go all out for Christmas.
The latest do-googer? Keith Urban tapped into the spirit in his native Australia on Dec. 19 when he surprised a young fan at a local guitar shop between shows and tried out guitars with the youngin'.
To boot, he even bought the kid a $1400 guitar and also threw in a $450 pedal! The kid was "blown away," the guitar store owner told the local press. Wouldn't you be?

Gotta love Keith Urban. He is so humble compared to many performers. I wish we could hear more about acts of kindness such as these.

You're right, Glenda. Boy, are they ever wrong! The $1400 Australian guitar Keith bought for himself but asked the owner to add on the $450 guitar pedal to his card and not tell the kid until after Keith left the store. As Keith left the store he wished the kid "Merry Christmas" and then the owner told the teen that Keith had bought him the guitar pedal as a Christmas present. The owner said the kid was so overcome that he was shaking. He couldn't believe his good luck! Keith Urban is one heck of a nice guy with a heart as big as Australia.
You might want to check your facts. I beleive that Keith had bought the guitar for himself and threw the kids pedal on as a gesture of kindness.
What a nice guy. Nicole sure upgraded from freaky, ugly Tom Cruise when she go this one! Kind, sexy, handsome, talented and he obviously loves her.
Keith is a good guy, what a great thing to do for a young fan who wants to play guitar. Love Keith's guitar playing, wish he would get away from the pop love songs though, but he has a beautiful voice.
