Ka-ching!

Julia Roberts pocketed $1.5 million for flashing her world-famous smile -- but didn't utter a word or even a throaty laugh -- in a new coffee ad set to air on Italian TV over the holidays.

If anybody in Hollywood is worth that much coin, Julia has the market on that premium.

she's got a good agent. and that's usually the cost for most A list celebs. to do also by releasing she was paid that much will get more people to purposely see it

Only the Lavazza coffee execs will be able to tell us if she was worth it. I have a feeling that she absolutely was.

Don't be jealous that someone got lucky in life. And if you hate that they make money off of doing nothing then don't read about it.

Okay, so I am not agreeing with this BUT....some people just have it luckier than others. I 100% understand how hard it is, my family is in the same boat as most Americans that are just making ends meet. Is 1.5ml an INSANE amount of cash for this? Yes. But to say that Julia Roberts doesn't work hard I think is a little off base. I am sure she does. There are the silly "celebrities" that make money for doing nothing, but I do think that MOST A list actors/entertainers work hard for their money. It's just a different world than we live in. And she might very well know how hard it is for "normal" people to have to work hard! She didn't come from money. She was just fortunate enough to be able to make that now. So, again while I do not agree that it's worth that kind of loot, hat coffee company is going to have to sell A LOT of those things to cover that cost!!! And I doubt paying 1.5ml for J.R. is going to make people want to do just that. :-)

@Filomena, I totally get what you're saying and agree. Seeing how its a done deal, im glad they picked her oppose to those meaningless greedy kartrash girls. Atleast Julia gives back, unlike them.

  • December 03, 2010 - 3:43pm Valerie Martillini

    I think Filomena covered it.

This world has gotten so ridiculous! To pay someone that amount of money to show their horse teeth. Stupid! It will take a hard working person an entire lifetime to earn that much and she earns it in seconds. Her horse teeth will not make me buy that coffee. Sorry

This is the problem with society today. People make ridiculous amounts of money for doing NOTHING!!! While regular normal people who have to work 9 to 5 jobs to support their family, struggle to get by, and wouldn't even see a million dollars in their lifetime, and these rich a-holes make that kind of money in less than an hour. This is not even normal. That is just wrong on so many levels and certainly nothing to throw in people's faces. These celebrities have no freakin clue what it's like to have to work a regular job and struggle to get by.Must be nice to live vicariously, and have no concept about what real people go thru.
