Ben Affleck must be crushed.

Matt Damon is gearing up to make his directorial debut. The Hollywood Reporter reports that the 41-year-old Oscar winner will also star in the project, which he co-wrote with The Office's John Krasinski.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Krasinski, 32, came up with the idea for the script, developed the idea with author Dave Eggers, then pitched it to Damon for the two to write and star.

The film is said to be similar to 2000's legal drama Erin Brokovich, although plot details remain scarce. The movie tells the story of a salesman (Damon) whose life is changed when he happens upon a particular small town.
