Get your Greek on in this B-movie remake, which pits demigod Perseus (Avatar’s Sam Worthington) against Hades (Ralph Fiennes) in a war between the Olympian gods and the uppity mortals of Argos.
Muscular and square-jawed, Worthington excels at playing the serious hero and exudes masculinity, even in a kilt. With crazy CGI battles -- the assaults against giant scorpions are robust fun -- the film entertains even if the Greek myths have been tossed in a Cuisinart to serve modern audiences.
