AIR DATE: THURSDAY 9/17

The goose bumps keep coming in the fantastical conspiracy drama's season two opener. After discovering a parallel universe (the World Trade Center still stands) in last season’s cliffhanger, Olivia (Anna Torv) is literally thrown back into this world with little memory of what happened. Also unsettling: Congress wants to shut down the Fringe division. A new agent (Meghan Markle) gets a half-baked introduction, but that's a minor blip in an otherwise enthralling, inventive and increasingly ominous hour. (Fox, 9 P.M.)
