Review | Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami
Us Rating: ***
Airs: Sunday 8/15
As Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian prepare to head back to L.A., they must still handle one piece of baggage. That would be Scott Disick, Kourtney's lout of a baby daddy. On the August 1 episode, Disick punched a mirror in a drunken rage, leaving Kourtney fearful for herself and their son, Mason. Now, prepare for more emotional fireworks as the lovebirds reunite for couples therapy. That's usually a yawn-worthy development on other celeb reality shows, but thanks to the duo's bold honesty, the results here are spellbinding.
Disick admits to having "a real disease" (alcoholism, not Cocky Jerk Syndrome). Meanwhile, Kourtney lays down teary but dead-serious ultimatums, one of which -- "learn how to support yourself" -- will have fans cheering. As for Khloe? She scores by doling out no-nonsense love advice to her big sis. Granted, the season's big question -- Will the relationship survive? -- leads to moments so soapy they could be cribbed from The Young and the Restless. But all in all, K&K zips up round two in satisfying style. (E!, 10 P.M.)
