Video: Robert Pattinson Seduces Uma Thurman, Christina Ricci in Bel Ami
One woman isn't enough for Robert Pattinson -- or rather, for Georges Duroy, his character in Bel Ami.

In the first trailer for the film, released Friday, Pattinson, 25, seduces a handful of wealthy women, including Uma Thurman, 41, Christina Ricci, 31, and Kristin Scott Thomas, 51.
Based on the novel by Guy de Maupassant, the film follows Duroy's rise from poverty into the "beau monde" of 1890s Paris. Thurman recently praised Pattinson's performance, telling MTV that "he's incredibly concrete in his presence on the set and obviously very handsome."

"He's a very nice person and he's sensitive," she added of the Twilight star. "He's present. He's a really good actor."
Bel Ami is scheduled to premiere in late 2011.

One of my favorite books of all time! Monsieur Duroy is such a despicable guy without any scruples, very cold and calculating, and I fear, that the cynical yet modern ideas of the book are not captured, I saw too many "dramatic" emotions from Robert Pattinsons character, and Clothilde (C. Ricci) looks so pretty, but doesn't match the character from the novel. Uma Thurman seems a good choice for Madeleine, a intelligent and free spirit, who is so superior to Georges, but catched in her role as a woman. I'll see the movie, maybe there will be a positive surprise, hopefully.
