Tom Cruise is back in action.
He'll reprise his role in as Ethan Hunt in Mission: Impossible 4, it was confirmed Wednesday morning.
The actor will be 48 when the fourth flick (which he'll also produce) hits theaters next May. Filming begins this summer, according to USA Today.
Cruise had a falling out with Paramount Studios shortly after the 2006 release of the third movie in the series.
Sumner Redstone, the chairman of Paramount's parent company Viacom, publicly slammed Cruise in the Wall Street Journal at the time for letting his "erratic behavior" affect his image as an actor and producer. (In 2006, he dissed Brooke Shields -- and later apologized -- for using drugs to treat her post-partum depression. The year before that, he jumped on a couch while declaring his love for Katie Holmes in an appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show.)
Cruise went on to set up his own studio, United Artists, with his longtime producing partner Paula Wagner.
