Review | Law & Order: SVU

Detectives Benson and Stabler (Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni, respectively) reluctantly team with a wildly cocky cop (Wentworth Miller, late of Prison Break) to pursue yet another rapist in season 11's opener, the first of a three-part tale. The first half is filled with hamminess (when did Meloni turn into David Caruso?) and overly familiar dialogue (“It’s not your fault!” Hargitay tells a victim). Thankfully, it morphs into a gripping case of wrongful imprisonment. (NBC, 9 P.M.)

I have watched svu since the beginning Wentworth Miller's acting is so bad it borders on "daytime soap opera" caliber cheesiness. Why are the writers ruining one of my favorite shows!!!!! This same comment goes for the new prosecutors performance as well. Its a crying shame.
AWFUL! He adapted that Christian Bale whispery low tone to comical results. Gross.
Miller may not be a great actor in your opinion, but who listens to critics anyway...you guys are like the weather people never know what youâ??re talking aboutâ?¦Miller made the show, for once it was not predictableâ?¦.I say keep him onâ?¦.
I have never watched SVU, but I will watch this episode because there is Wentworth!!! Great and versatile actor. I hope to see him in other episodes!!!!

Good grief, i just saw the SVU clips and Wentworth Miller looks like he's about to pass a kidney stone! His expression is too over the top, and hardly convincing at all. I see an actor trying too hard to be a brute, and failing, unfortunately.
Wentworth Miller from Prison Break, are ya kidding me? Seriously? You couldn't find any other "non actor" actor around? He's such a weak actor, even in Prison Break, where the acting in general was crappy, he was the worst one! He belongs on bad tv shows, not something as great as SVU! What were the producers thinking!?
Terrible actor is RIGHT! Wentworth Miller is BAD - you can almost SEE him "acting" in the SVU trailer/clips - horrible! What a light weight actor-wannabe Wentworth Miller is, so undeserving of the great SVU cast!
I Hope "Law & Order" and "SVU" stay on a long time, two of my favorite shows. I love watching "The Closer" and "Saving Grace" too.
Sounds like a re-run but we'll watch it anyway.

Yuck I am not watching this episode for sure now that, that terrible "actor" Wentworth Miller is on it!Out of all the actors in Hollywood they had to pick a light weight as WM what a mistake.
Mariska Hargitay is hot.
I love SVU too. But yes, Meloni and Hargitay are too hammy these days. TOO MANY close-up shots too!
I hope that Mariska and Christopher plan on being Benson and Stabler for a very long time. This is my favourite spin-off and I would miss them as well as Ice T and all the other characters, I just wish they would quit finding new ADA's.
